Dear readers and friends,
Last surgery went well and dad was discharged and was at home for a week. But instead of improvement his health was deteriorating day by day and we were clueless. Even on the day of check up in the hospital to remove the stitches the doctor did not say anything even on our inquiring.Doctor had his carefree answer ready that his breathing problem is due to medicines and acidity and has nothing to do with his rib injuries. That very night when dad insisted that he is feeling very uneasy and we should call a doctor we called the local practitioner. Immediately on seeing dad he said why did you discharge him he should be on oxygen and ventilator. The disparity between the diagnosis of the two doctors got me confused and I choose to trust the surgeon but still I had a feeling that I should get a second opinion from a medicine specialist as soon as possible. Instead of shifting dad to hospital in the very middle of night I took him to the medicine specialist of the hospital the next day. It turned out that the local practitioner was right. Currently Dad is admitted in ICU, on oxygen and ventilator and its all because of the rib injuries. Such medical negligence that also from the best hospital in the state. I simply don't know should I feel like......lucky that dad got admitted on time for later the doctors told me he risked cardiac arrest with all shameless casualness or angry that why this at all happened. I losing faith even in god, daily seeing changing faces of people. Is it actually true that good always happens to people who are good. Looking at dads life and the situation I don't know what should I learn that its idiotic to be the helping hand for others and not think of oneself first for when you need no hand will be there to hold you. If there is god he definitely isn't listening to my prayers....guys plz pray for my dad....for his quick recovery.

Your Dad is fortunate to have you there as an advocate. Doctors and hospitals with their busy schedules can be so negligent. Be vigilant and make sure he gets the care he needs. You obviously love him very much and I'm sure he feels your love.
